Took a break for a while from blogging while I moved to a new apartment. But I’m back and working through som more writing prompts now.

And suddenly the world was painfully away of space, or lack there of.

of the hockey sticks, or raccons, or sidewalk blocks between us, and the places where there wasn’t enough space for the right amount of distance.

of how little space the 600 square foot box one calls home was.

Of how few people could safely be in a park together.

Of how the streets needed to be narrower and the sidewalks wider.

Our bubbles expanded, and some people still stepped to close in without invite.

Of people charging elevtors and refusing to wait in a space where 2 meters distance can’t happen.

Of a world that needs more space to allow for a distance.

First we hopped the need would pass, and then we made room.

We closed streets to cars, we opened parkinglots and green spaces to the public.

Hopefully we continue to make room long after this is all a memory, so we can all have a space when we haveĀ  a need for distance.
